STEM Students Take on RoboBoat 2024 in Sarasota, Florida
February 9th to February 11th, a team of Clinton STEM students which consisted of Allison Bowles, Ava Snelling, Emma Shankland, Jaren Settles, and their chaperone, Payne Staton, visited Sarasota, Florida to determine the possibility of competing in RoboBoat 2025. Over the course of the weekend, teams such as Cornell University, United States Coast Guard Academy, the University of Michigan, and James Martin High School shared their knowledge with the team. It was a competitive year at RoboBoat, as 15 of the 16 qualified for finals. In the last day of competition, teams battled heavy winds and communication issues which forced teams to troubleshoot on the fly. We are looking forward to 2025!
